1.Move out the imperfect zip by cautiously loosening its sews on the hooded jacket. Use a pair of little scissors to cut off each single stitch; and then force them out with your fingers.
2.Measuring the length of the original zipper with your measuring tapeline.
3.Buy a replacing zipper of the same length and coloring as the original one so it fits the hooded jacket. Unzip the zipper so that you have two apart pieces.
4.Put the cloth end of the zipper piece that carries the pulley within the left edge of the jacket front. Pin the zipper to hold it in place. Tailor in the zipper onto the liner of the cloth. Topstitch the outside cloth onto the liner and the zipper fabric.
